New England Wax is proud to join FUSEDChicago, a group of artists working in encaustic medium, at the Zhou B. Art Center for their first exhibition in Chicago. This will be the second collaboration between the two art groups. New England Wax (NEW) is a lively and growing professional organization connecting artists in the six New England states who work with encaustic and other wax-based mediums.

This joint presentation celebrates the national encaustic community, the bond they share as artists, and their explorations of wax media.

Those who attend the show can experience the luminous quality of encaustic, a fine art medium consisting of pigmented beeswax. Many creative styles can be achieved with wax-based media and are represented in the work of these accomplished artists.

A reception will take place on November 21, the third Friday of November, when the galleries of the Zhou B. Art Center are open from 6-9 pm. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited to join the artists to celebrate this exhibition.
