The Diptych Project: Transatlantic Fusion is an international and cross-continental art project that emerged from the collaboration between the group New England Wax and the European Encaustic Artists 2020. 50 encaustic artists worked together in pairs and in close artistic collaboration over a period of two years.

The resulting diptychs show the diversity of encaustic and the beauty of the natural material beeswax. In addition, the artistic exchange across borders and continents proved to be a great creative enrichment.

In 2022, the exhibition of the first diptychs took place in “The Commons Gallery” in Provincetown, Massachusetts/USA. This extraordinary art project now comes to an end in 2024 with the exhibition at the Kunstpunkt Schleusenhaus in Stade/Germany.

Kunstverein Stade e.V. in the Hanseatic city of Stade has been involved in the field of visual arts since its foundation in 1989. They have made it their mission to revive the public interest in the visual arts and see themselves as a mediator between citizens and artists. The Kunstpunkt Schleusenhaus is the exhibition house of the Kunstverein Stade e.V.
